M2M returns to tackle Italys highest independent peak.

Last year poor weather conditions foiled our plans to reach the summit but the trip was still such a success we thought it only right to return and settle our unfinished business. Set in Italys stunning Grand Paradiso national park this majestic peak rises above the landscape providing outstanding views across the Alps from its summit. Gran Paradiso offers an exciting introduction to mountaineering but also presents a great challenge in its own right. For many it will be the first chance to ascend on glaciers using ropes, crampons and ice-axes but with no technical mountaineering experience required. If you are fit and enjoy the satisfaction of climbing summits under your own steam, it's perfect.

Gran Paradiso for me was incredible, going into it I really had no idea what to expect, both from a personal point of view and from a team / personnel point of view and what I encountered was amazing. A team of strangers(ish) thrown together in an alien environment, with alien equipment, with varying physical attributes but a common goal, both getting up a mountain and financially for the charity.

Straight away the team bonded and the tougher it got the closer we got. I felt like the trip allowed me to do much more than climb a mountain, it reminded me what it's like to unplug from routine and build genuine relationships without the distractions of www / Targets / Work / friends.

Outside of that quite simply you showed me the true meaning of determination and resilience.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat and will be forever grateful.
