About the trip
M2M and Mental Health Awareness Club (MHAC) are collaborating to bring some warmth into autumn as the clocks change. Join us at The Yard, Chilton Manor Farm in Hampshire for a day of Nordic Walking followed by mindful stretching and connection.
Please note: This event will be a two-parter, with the option to join for one or both parts.
PART ONE // Nordic Walk
UPDATE: PART ONE IS NOW FULL
A circular walk led by Emily Bray, a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. Nordic Walking poles will be available to try out this innovative walking style that helps you feel lighter on your feet.
Accessibility:
Please be aware there are stiles along the walk. Our walk leaders will be on hand to help if assistance is needed. The walk is not suitable for wheelchair users, as we expect terrain could be muddy and potentially uneven depending on the weather conditions. However, the route itself is relatively flat and manageable for most levels of fitness. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Approx. finish: 12 noon
Distance: 10km
Bring: Come prepared for Autumnal weather and mud underfoot. Bring a bottle of water, snacks, walking shoes, warm layers and a rain coat.
PART TWO // Stretch & Connect at The Yard (wheelchair accessible)

One hour of gentle guided movement, with an opportunity to connect with the M2M and MHAC community.
Accessibility: Suitable for all levels of mobility, including wheelchair users.
Meet: 12 noon, Sunday 3rd November at The Yard, Chilton Manor Farm, Alresford SO24 9TX
Approx. finish: 1.30pm
Bring: Comfy clothes and a bottle of water
LOCATION
The Yard is a rural cafe and event space nestled in the Candover Valley, serving Moon Roast and a nourishing locally sourced food menu. Food and drink will not be included as part of this event, but will be available to purchase on the day.
GETTING THERE
Please be mindful that The Yard is situated in a rural location on a working farm. The nearest train stations are Basingstoke, Micheldever and Whitchurch.

Based in Hampshire, Emily is a Nordic walking instructor, as well as a Pilates instructor and a qualified physio. A lover of the outdoors, Emily uses movement in nature to bring a sense of peace to busy everyday lives.
Tommy Leete, Mental Health Awareness Club Founder
Tommy started the Mental Health Awareness Club in 2022, after struggling with his mental health and finding solace in community and movement in the outdoors. Designed to promote the benefits of exercise on the body and mind, the MHAC aims to create a supportive community to help others find connection in place of isolation.
Anneke Pettenburger-Perwald, Yoga and Pilates Instructor
After Studying and Teaching Pilates and Yoga as well as practice kinesiology collectively For the last 27 years,Perpetual Energy Coach – Anneke, will be guiding a session of movement for those who would like to take part.
Lois Jackson, M2M Co-Founder
Lois & Ed founded M2M and with her operations & events background she soon took on all of the roles that it takes to run a successful charity. With Ed being the face of the charity, Lois is the lynchpin pulling the strings for all our events, the strategy and making sure everything is moving in the right direction.
Rosie King, M2M Events
As the events planner for Millimetres 2 Mountains, Rosie curates engaging wellness experiences to support M2M beneficiaries and the wider community. Having trained in integrative counselling, she advocates the power of walking and talking while leaning into outdoor adventure to calm the mind, build confidence and find common ground.

We are committed to ensuring that our events remain as accessible as possible to the entire M2M community, and where possible, we offer them free of charge. We believe financial barriers shouldn’t stand in the way of participation.
