In 2017 founder Ed Jackson's life was turned upside down after suffering a devastating spinal cord injury. Despite being told he would never walk again Ed set out to defy the odds and within a year he was stood on top of Mt Snowdon with the dream of showing others facing their own seemingly impossible challenges that there is hope.
Inspired by his own journey from millimetres to mountains, Ed co-founded The ‘Millimetres to Mountains Foundation’ with friend and fellow sportsman Olly Barkley. Their mission? Helping those who really need it whilst changing perceptions about charity along the way.
Walking along ‘the spine of England’ is particularly poignant given Ed’s journey and therefore fitting that his other chosen charity is Wings For Life - a research foundation dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries for which Ed is an ambassador. 100% of every donation Wings For Life receives goes directly to world class research and helps provide hope to the thousands of people affected by spinal cord injuries around the globe.
Ed will also be raising money for his own charity the M2M Foundation for which this will be their inaugural since receiving official charitable status earlier this year. You can find out more about the M2M Foundation HERE.Follow Ed Live Take Part Find out More
M2M is underpinned by two fundraising concepts that feed into the Foundation.
Re-uniting with yourself and nature. Whether it be canoeing down the Thames or summiting peaks in the Himalayas we work with the very best to ensure our adventures challenge, inspire and instil confidence in everyone who attends.
A non profit pop up banquet and after party concept inspired by bringing together the three elements of food, light and electronic sound and supporting with vibrant circus performance within unique venues).
Through unique outdoor experiences and immersive celebrations of music and food we fundraise to take beneficiaries on their own outdoor adventures and help them realise the true transformative power of the great outdoors.
